I am fascinated by the beauty of the world which is a constant source of wonderment for me. I try to capture these emotions in my paintings, which are a poetic interpretation of what surrounds me. I have recently moved from acrylic to oil, which I use in multiple layers to create a more dreamy effect. Although my work is figurative, I like to leave room for less defined areas in the paintings for the mind to be able to wander freely. My current body of work is focused on trees and their symbolism in a contemplative approach. With my paintings, I want to give long lasting joy and a sense of truth and peace.
