Once upon a time I received a degree in Law. But my heart had been set on painting since always.
And so I eventually became a professional painter, learning on my own and exploring in different directions like below.
My current body of work is mostly about trees.
My trees are paths, dreams, reflections and above all: contemplations.
I am fascinated by the beauty and the perfection of nature and I want my art to bring joy and a sense of truth and peace, to create a link - the way trees do - between earth and the heavens.
Although my paintings are mostly figurative, I leave imprecise spaces in my work for the mind to wander freely.
I use mostly oil now, and tend to sign and name my paintings less and less... Signatures are always somehow invasive and titles restrictive... There are of course practical reasons to be taken into account...
I take thousands of photographs which I then use as a base for my work, in the silence and peace of my studio, located in the French Alps, with its breathtaking views on nature.
I am one woman, not a company. I am a wife, a mother of two children, and an artist. And my family is a wonderful source of inspiration and happiness.
I create and do not "mass produce". All my work is unique, made slowly with utter love and a great amount of care and joy. If there is no joy, the painting is wrong. I only work on a few pieces at a time.
I love what I do, creating! I hope my paintings will bring you joy!
